Andrea has spent more than 18 years in public service across healthcare, emergency services, and community health. Working closely with people and communities led her to pursue an MSPH and later a PhD, broadening her understanding of how health, policy, education, and public service come together. Throughout her work, she has remained focused on listening to people, understanding the challenges they face, and finding practical ways to support their health and wellness.
She believes meaningful change begins with kindness, trust, and making space for people’s voices. Her hope is to bring people together through service, education, and collaboration, creating genuine moments of connection and care. Her research interests include disaster preparedness, extreme heat, and the experiences of vulnerable populations.
